Dynamic field security


Use a Dynamic field security to lock or allow editing for forms, tables, or fields.

You can use Dynamic field security, for example, in a data governance or master data management environment. In such an environment, data is managed in a central (source) company, and distributed to local (target) companies. With Dynamic field security, you can lock fields for editing in both the source company (for example, based on the user or the record status) and the target companies (for example, based on company).
